All reservations must be confirmed with a deposit equal to 50% of the total charge for the entire stay upon reservation. Because of our secluded location cancellations affect us significantly. The deposit is fully refundable, minus a $40.00 processing, if we are notified 30 days in advance of cancellation. If notified 14 days in advance of cancellation, a 50% cancellation fee of the total accommodation amount will be charged, if notified less then 14 days, a 100% cancellation fee of the total accommodation amount will be charged.
No show, late arrivals or early departures will result in a non refundable charge for the entire length of reserved stay.
All remaining charges are payable at time of reservation. Master Card, Visa, cash, personal checks and Traveler's checks are all acceptable forms of payment. Personal checks are due 15 days prior to arrival or reservation will not be confirmed. Full payment in advance is required for all holiday reservations. In the event of a late arrival or early departure, guests are responsible for the remainder of their reserved stay. A three-night minimum is required or a 15% surcharge will be added. Holiday periods, October and certain high demand periods might require a three-night to seven-night minimum stay – (July 4th requires a 7 day stay). All accommodation rates are for a total of 8 persons. There are three bedrooms which accommodate 6 adults with one bunkroom that can accommodate 2 adults or 2 children. (The bunkroom is preferable for children but will accommodate 2 adults.) Bringing the total occupancy of the Quiet Place to 8. Rates are subject to change. Long term and seasonal rates upon request. Check for reduced seasonal rates and specials!
All charges are payable at time of reservation or within 30 days of your reservation. A guaranteed and confirmed reservation obligates both the guest and the Quiet Place for the entire length of stay reserved.
All tariffs are subject to a 10% state and 7% local sales tax. Rates are subject to change. No gratuity is included in your charges for our housekeeping staff. Our housekeeping charges are $65.00 per week or $45.00 per weekend and we prefer you to leave cash or a check in the appropriate designated place for the help.
Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. and check out is 10:00 a.m. A lockbox is located at the entrance with a key to the gate. Proceed up to the Quiet Place to another lockbox wher you will find another key to open the home. Please notify us 15 days prior to arrival if early or late arrivals are necessary as special arrangements will need to be made. Upon departure, please return your home key to the lock box and again, lock the gate and leave the gate key in the lock box at the entrance. There will be an $8 lost key fee.
NO SMOKING inside the Quiet Place!
Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the home! There are 2 large smokers Pots at the outside entrance to the Quiet Place and on the main level deck to accommodate smokers. Please place your cigarette/cigar butts in these urns to prevent forest fires. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
There are some videos for your enjoyment. However there will be a $20.00 charge for damaged, lost or stolen items.
Items left behind - we are not responsible for items left in the Quiet Place. If any items are left behind, we will make every attempt to recover and return them to you. There will be a minimum fee of $20.00 for handling and shipping charges.
Telephones – At present there aren’t any land lines however we hope to accommodate this request in the very near future. Cell phones work wonderfully outside on the decks!
TV/VCR/DVD usage – Direct TV is provided with local stations. Pay-per-view selections are not available. You may bring your own videos or DVDs to use during your stay or use one from the Quiet Place library.
Games – A small selection of games and cards are provided for your enjoyment however there will be a $20.00 charge for damaged, lost or stolen items.
Maintenance and Repairs - If repairs to appliances and other systems in the Quiet Place are necessary, please notify us immediately and we will make every effort to correct the problem as soon as possible. NO REBATES WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY MALFUNCTIONS. The Quiet Place staff reserves the right to enter the premises to perform repairs and maintenance.
Well Water – Due to the well being situated at the very bottom of the long driveway up to the Quiet Place, there is a sufficient drop in water pressure coming up to it. That alone makes it difficult for more than one person to shower at the same time or have the dishwasher on while showering or several baths to be run in a 24 hour time span. Therefore, it is our request that you please help us to conserve water by not showering at the same time. Keep your showers relatively short. Enjoy only one bath in the whirlpool tub a day and run the dishwasher only once a day. The washer and dryer are for the housekeeping staff only and we kindly request that you do not use them while you are staying at the Quiet Place.
